Lac du Bourget, France

Lake Bourget is a lake located in France to the west of the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. A post-glacial lake in the Jura massif, Lake Bourget was formed at the end of the last Würm glaciation, around 19,000 years ago, by the retreat of the large Quaternary Alpine glacier.
